A leading automotive brand aimed to explore how U.S. drivers are adopting wireless charging trends within cars. The focus was on users aged 21–54 — a tech-forward segment representing both current and future buyers. The client wanted to understand real-world product usage, satisfaction levels, and tech preferences to guide automotive innovation and in-car tech strategy. The study required 500 qualified completes from actual users or those familiar with in-car upgrades like wireless charging.
Our Approach
Xcel Global Panel deployed a targeted recruitment strategy focused on tech-enabled drivers aged 21–54 across the U.S. We screened respondents for in-vehicle tech and wireless charger usage, as well as recent driving behavior to ensure relevance. Through pre-profiled tech and car electronics enthusiasts, we achieved quick turnaround while maintaining a high level of data accuracy. Quotas were balanced to reflect a representative spread of demographics and vehicle ownership types, ensuring reliable vehicle insights and driver habits data.
Results
The study was completed successfully with 500 high-quality responses from U.S. drivers aged 21–54 who actively use or are familiar with in-car wireless chargers. Insights revealed how convenience, charging speed, compatibility issues, and dashboard design influenced driver experience and satisfaction. These findings helped the client fine-tune automotive features, prioritize improvements, and better align with driver expectations for in-vehicle tech.
